About the Software

Match Exact Color (MEC) software was developed by Dr. Mahzyar Gorji in 2012 with the goal of improving the color matching equations. Combining scientific knowledge with extensive industrial experience, MEC offers unique capabilities, such as multi-angle color matching, that are not available in other similar software.

MEC has been tested across various industries—including liquid coatings (water-based, solvent-based, and two-component), powder coatings, and masterbatch (fiber, yarn, and plastic)—demonstrating high accuracy and reliability. It has been recognized as an innovative tool for reducing both visual and numerical color differences.

The idea behind MEC originated from Dr. Gorji’s effort to address the limitations of existing color-matching models. Through rigorous laboratory analysis, theoretical refinement, and software optimization, MEC has evolved into a comprehensive solution tailored to industrial needs.

One of the main challenges MEC successfully overcame was the gap between numerical and visual color matching. In many cases, samples appeared visually different despite showing minimal ΔE values. To solve this, MEC introduced a multi-angle color matching feature, an exclusive innovation not found in any other color-matching software.
